Moonspray is used throughout the year as the Ellen MacArthur Trust's flagship.  We take young people, in recovery from cancer and leukaemia, sailing to help build confidence and friendships after treatment.  Those young people will be invited to return each year to build on their sailing skills and, at the age of 18, can take part in our training scheme to become a volunteer, providing a positive role model for those sailing for the first time.  With our own boat, we are able to increase our operations and in 2010, in addition to our regular summer trips for 8-17 yr olds from hospitals throughout the UK, we will also be participating in the Isle of Wight Round the Island Race, Residential Dinghy Weeks, and volunteer training and we will also be offering a pilot-scheme to 18-24 year olds to participate in a longer cruising adventure for those returning to sail.
